Feature wall
Project design: LGA Partners
2009
These wall panels were designed in collaboration with Levitt-Goodman Architects, FELT Studio and Seventh Generation Image Makers. The architects designed a moving wall that allowed an open multi-use space to be divided into two separate rooms. The panels were covered in layers of felt featuring the image of Thunderbirds adapted by artist Bev Koski from First Nations imagery of the Great Lakes Region.
A layer of felt was cut out on one side to reveal a darker layer of felt beneath. And, the cutout pieces were adhered to the other side to create a relief effect on the opposite side of the wall.
This project was supported by the Ontario Arts Council
