Feature walls in three locations including surrounding meeting rooms; wall and ceiling in the artists’ lounge; and recording studio reception wall
Project Design: Superkül, 2021
Interior features covered in felt complement the surroundings of this timber-frame building in elegant and organic variations on FELT Ripples. This three-part package takes the form of the folds or “Ripple” to various ends including wall coverings around several meeting pods where clusters of ripples are separated by areas of flat felt like modulations in sound carried across the wall. In a natural tone, true to the wool of felt, these rhythmic folds vary in patterns that never repeat.
In the artists’ lounge, larger structured folds create a more streamlined ripple, an undulating rhythm that climbs up the wall and flows across the ceiling. And, in the recording studio random FELT ripples appear like blips across the wall in a deep tone of red.
