FELT Striation was first developed in response to the design team’s interest in creating a wall with the appearance of stacked layers of felt. The sliding doors were designed to close in order to separate the living space from this screening room. Felt strips lining the screening room side were inlaid into walnut frames designed and built by project millworkers to provide a strong and elegant support for the felt.
